After signing the two biggest names on the free agent market for pitching, the New York Yankees added the biggest slugger on the market signing Mark Teixeira to a 8 year deal worth about $180 million. The deal should finish the Yankees wish list for the off season as they are now absolute favorites in the American League. The Yankees committed $323.5 million to Teixeira, C.C. Sabathia, and A.J. Burnett and now look the part of the powerhouse of the American League again.
What an offseason! I don't ever remember a team doing so much to try to win. This goes to show the committment the Steinbrenner family has to winning and keeping the Yankees on top in baseball. Today is a great day to be a Yankees fan. It should be an even better day to be one come October!
