Did you get a chance to take a tour of Yankee Stadium before it closed? If not, you're in luck. The Yankees have decided to continue conducting the Stadium Tour until the end of the calendar year.
I went on the tour yesterday. It' was pretty cool. In addition to Monument Park, the tour includes a visit to the Stadium press box, a walk along the warning track and a chance to hangout in the Yankee Dugout. It also (usually) includes a visit to the clubhouse, but that was off-limits yesterday, as players were expected to be coming in a various times to pack up their belongings.
If you're going to be in the New York area anytime between now and the end of the year, a tour should be on your to-do list. A Stadium tour costs $20.00 for individual adults and $15.00 for children 14 and under and for seniors 60 and older. There are also group rates and rates for school groups.
